Enrollment and Conference Tuition
Tuition for the University Presidential Inaugural Conference (UPIC) is $2,870, which includes all housing, program materials, breakfasts and lunches. It is strongly recommended that all scholars purchase the $109 optional Tuition and Travel Protection Plan. Transportation to and from the conference location is not included. Participants will need money only for incidentals (phone calls, snacks, etc.). Discounted tuition is granted to alumni of the National Youth Leadership Forum, the Congressional Youth Leadership Council and the International Scholar Laureate Program.

Scholars may pay the full conference tuition of $2,979 (which includes the optional $109 Tuition and Travel Protection Plan) at the time enrollment is submitted; or they may choose the Payment Plan option and make a deposit of $359 (or $250 if declining the optional Tuition and Travel Protection Plan). Please note that the Payment Plan option is available by credit card only. If scholars pay the tuition in full or enroll via the payment plan, provided the full tuition is paid by the deadline, they will be guaranteed space and their enrollment will be confirmed upon submission of payment.

For any student who does not pay tuition in full by the final payment due date, their enrollment in the Conference will be cancelled and any refund due will be reduced by the applicable administrative and cancellation charges as described in the Cancellation and Refund Policy section of the Enrollment Application, which the student agreed to upon enrollment.

Fundraising
The University Presidential Inaugural Conference makes every effort to assist students with gathering funds for part or all of their tuition through fundraising. If you require financial assistance, UPIC has prepared a special fundraising guide [PDF, 178K] to help you raise the necessary funds within your community. In addition, the Office of Admissions is available to guide you in your fundraising efforts.

For more information regarding fundraising, contact the Office of Admissions.

Scholarship Program
To offset the cost of tuition, the University Presidential Inaugural Conference has established a scholarship fund to assist students who wish to participate in the program. Scholarship funds are limited and, because demand is extremely high, a variety of factors are considered in the allotment of scholarship funds. The primary consideration in the rewarding of scholarship funds is financial need, followed by academic merit and student involvement in extracurricular and volunteer activities.

All scholarship application deadlines for the 2009 UPIC have passed. It is too late to apply for a scholarship.

If you have further questions, please contact the Office of Admissions.

Optional Tuition and Travel Protection Plan
The $109 Tuition and Travel Protection Plan fee is non-refundable and may not be purchased after the enrollment deadline. To view a brochure about the optional Tuition and Travel Protection Plan, click here.
